There are a few third-party software repositories available that provide many more packages, as well as some non-free formats which may be of use. We recommend that you enable these to get a fuller operating system experience with openSUSE.

Build Service

Note also that there are many repositories available through the openSUSE Build Service. Information on adding package repositories from the build service can be seen at Build Service Enduser Info.

Mirrors

Throughout the tutorials/instructions on these pages we are going to be adding all package repositories using skynet's excellent mirror (http://ftp.skynet.be/pub/), so that you will get faster download rates. You can however choose a mirror closer to you for each package source, and there's a handy list available at the links above.
